Encore Club is your studio's loyalty card: an encore (our word for a scanned class) for every class, rewards and leaderboards. Here, in plain words, is what we do with your data and the rules of the game.
Who is responsible?
During the pilot, Encore Club is run by the company OUTBOXE (the OUT SPORTS CLUB studio), 13 rue de la Sourdière, 75001 Paris, France, SIREN 912 952 710, VAT FR92912952710. For any question about your data: hello@outsportsclub.com.

What we collect
Your email, first name, nickname, phone if you give it, your age range and sex if you give them (only for the age and sex leaderboards), your choices (leaderboards, emails) and your encores: date, time, class and place. When you scan, we check that your phone is at the studio, but we only keep the distance and the result of the check, never your location. If you ask for Encore for your studio with the form on our home page, we use your details only to reply to you, by email.
Your workout log
If you log workouts yourself (date, time, length, type, an optional place and note), only you can see them: studios never do. They count only for your personal streak and your badges everywhere. You can delete each one, and they're in "Download my data".
Fitness trackers
Only if you connect one yourself (WHOOP, Oura, and Apple Health in the iPhone app; more to come): after you tick a consent box, we import your workouts from it — type, date, time, length, and their effort: strain, average and maximum heart rate, calories. Heart rate is health data, so we use it only to show your own workouts back to you; studios and other members never see it, and it never counts as an encore. We don't read sleep, recovery or location; from your tracker account we keep only its account number, so it can tell us when a workout is ready. Access to your tracker is stored encrypted. Apple Health: the Encore iPhone app reads your workouts, heart rate and active calories on your phone, after your tick and Apple's own permission screen, and sends us only each workout's type, time, length, calories and average and maximum heart rate. We never write to Apple Health, and Apple Health data is never used for advertising or sold. Disconnect at any time from Settings → Fitness trackers: our access is deleted at once, and you can delete the imported workouts too. They're in "Download my data".
Your public profile
Your profile is public unless you switch "Public profile" off (at sign-up or any time in Settings). When it's on, anyone with your link sees your nickname and the parts you chose: the map of your Encore studios, your badges, your numbers and your recent classes (studio and day, never the time). Members can follow you; you can remove any follower and switch the profile off at any time. When it's off, members can still find your nickname and ask to follow you: only the people you accept see your profile. We never show your email, first name, age, sex or the places in your workout log. Maps use OpenStreetMap: the map tiles are loaded from their servers. You can add a photo (from your camera or your photos; cropped, its hidden data such as location removed) and a short bio. They show only while your profile is public (or to the followers you accepted), and anyone signed in can report them; we remove what breaks the rules.
The feed
You choose what you post: a recent class or workout, a short line, and a photo taken with your camera if you want. Posts, likes and comments are seen by everyone signed in to Encore, under your nickname. Photos are shrunk and their hidden data (location, camera) removed before they're stored. You can delete your posts and comments, report anything and block anyone. We remove what breaks the rules. Your posts are deleted with your account.
Why, and on what basis
Running your loyalty card, your rewards and the service emails (sign-in code, free class): needed for the service you ask for (performance of a contract). Showing your nickname on public leaderboards and sending you studio news: only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Preventing cheating (checking at scan time that you're at the studio, comparing encores with the studio's bookings): the legitimate interest of the studio and the other members. No automated decision has a legal effect on you.
Who sees it
Your studio's team sees your first name, email and encores, to manage your card. Other members only see your nickname, for example on leaderboards (you can switch those off in Settings). Free-class codes are entered by the studio in its booking software (bsport); the studio may also compare your encores with its bsport bookings to spot cheating (the file isn't kept). We never sell your data.
Our providers
Supabase (database, hosted in Paris), Vercel (website hosting, servers used in Paris) and Resend (email sending, in Europe). All three are US companies: they may access some data from the United States, with the safeguards required by the GDPR (EU–US Data Privacy Framework for Vercel and Resend, European Commission standard contractual clauses for Supabase and Vercel).
How long
As long as your account is active. An account unused for 3 years is deleted, after a warning email. Records of your choices (consents) and the history of encore corrections are kept as long as your account exists. Free-class codes are kept 10 years for accounting, unlinked from you.
Your rights
In "My account" you can change your nickname at any time, appear on leaderboards or not, stop emails, download your data and delete your account. For anything else (access, correction, restriction, objection), write to hello@outsportsclub.com. You can also complain to the CNIL (cnil.fr).
Cookies
Only the necessary ones: keeping you signed in and remembering your language. No advertising or analytics cookies.
The app
In the Encore Club app, the camera is only used to read the studio's QR code: no photo is taken or kept. The phone's location is only requested at scan time.
Age
Encore Club is for people aged 18 and over.
The rules of the game
One encore a day at most, by scanning the studio's QR code when you come to a class. Each studio sets its own rewards; they can't be exchanged for money. If someone cheats (scanning from elsewhere, fake account), the studio can cancel encores or close the account. Encore Club is free for you and may change; we'll tell you about important changes.
What belongs to Encore Club
The app, its code, design, text, artwork and the name "Encore Club" (a trademark filed in France) are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may use Encore Club for yourself, the way the service is meant to be used. You may not copy or reproduce all or part of the app, decompile it or work out how it is built (reverse engineering) except where the law allows it, extract its data automatically (bots, scraping), or use it to build a competing service. If these rules are broken, the account may be closed, without prejudice to other remedies. What you post (text, photos) stays yours: you only allow us to show it in Encore Club, for as long as you don't delete it.
